Food and beverage managers are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of food and beverage operations in a hospitality establishment, including budget management, team leadership, customer service, menu design and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Day-to-day
- Maintain excellent levels of customer service
- Design menus, purchase good and make any necessary improvements
- Identify customer needs and respond proactively to their concerns
- Lead a food and beverage team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel
- Report on management regarding sales results and productivity
- Keep track of stock; plan and manage the budget
- Ensure health, safety and liquor licensing regulations are followed
- Take bookings and assist with customer service
