Business development manager
Business development managers improve an organisation’s market position and achieve financial growth. This role defines long-term organisational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Day-to-day
- Identify and develop an organisation’s unique selling propositions and differentiators using knowledge of the market and competitors
- Develop and execute business development plans to achieve set performance targets and objectives that support market and product development
- Identify and capitalise on business opportunities relating to the core capabilities of the organisation
- Analyse, prepare, review and update client service agreements
- Present business development training and mentoring as required
- Manage and retain existing relationships with clients
