Tour guides escort visitors on sightseeing, educational and other tours, and describe and explain points of interest.
Day-to-day
- Meet and greet visitors
- Control visitors’ access to exhibits
- Plan and rearrange schedules and itineraries
- Plan, organise and conduct tours
- Arrange transportation and accommodation for visitors following planned itineraries
- Arrange entry to places of interest
- Answer questions, provide commentary, issue brochures and tour literature, show audio-visual presentations, and explain components and procedures at tour sites
- Might assist with installing and dismantling exhibits
